The Riding House is a modern all-day brasserie located in Fitzrovia and is the third restaurant of Adam White and Clive Watson, co-founders of award winning restaurants The Garrison and Village East. It is famous for its creative breakfasts and brunches that keep you inspired for the rest of the day. It is a fairly informal place in this neighborhood, but hard to walk past without being unnoticed. It has a very comfortable and social friendly environment. Great place to relax and kill the starvation without having to dress up. The menu is a mix of small and large plates; the food is British in style with wider European influences

We recommend: For breakfast try avocado on toast, porridge with mixed berries or poached pear and buttermilk pancakes. For small eats : seared scallops with celeriac, apple, parsley and roasted garlic or artichoke dip, crostini. For main: lobster lasagne, or 10 oz rib eye on the bone. For dessert: baked blueberry cheesecake.

Cuisine: Modern British.

Atmosphere: Relaxed, but trendy

The crowd: Journalists, fashion editors, people from the neighbourhood, fashionable ladies, local businessmen, art dealers.

Key info: On weekends book a table in advance.
