Two-story MØS, located close to Trubetsky manor in Khamovniki neighborhood, became an eye-opening experience for us. First of all, the Nordic cuisine never was so exciting outside of Scandinavia. And, secondly, the menu is inspired by the culinary traditions of Estonia, chef’s homeland. As a result, we get “casual Nordic for every day,” chef’s personal take on Northern European cuisine.

MØS design is inspired by the Scandinavian art deco of the 1930s, on the first floor you can see the open kitchen and enjoy watching the process of cooking, the second floor is perfect for business meetings or dates. There is a chef’s tasting table for eight people where enogastronomic dinners are organized. You can also order a set with dishes that are not on the menu. These dishes are from the “Signature” menu, chef’s specials.

We recommend: fish Tallinn soup, herring tartare with baked potatoes, Baltic salmon, baby lamb fillet in bread with Jerusalem artichoke, smorrebrod with roast beef. It’s best accompanied by juniper polugar, strong Russian rye wine that resembles moonshine. The menu changes fast and some dishes might be unavailable. But feel free to choose something else – it’s a joy to experiment with such a chef. And don’t forget to try local bread, which is baked right here. It’s simply divine.
