Kate Kushner

healthy mood

Kate Kushner has a very bright, optimistic and attractive character. She was the one to create a unique spot for stress-relief and relaxation - NYM Yoga, occupying a prime location in Moscow. Kate also teaches Jivamukti yoga, and is aspired for her elaborate techniques. It was great to spend some time with her and find out about her favorite places to relax and hang out.

FOOD

I love the vegetarian bar in my NYM Yoga studio. We have a relatively small selection of dishes, but everything is simply delicious! We use only organic and farmer products, and unique recipes. I also like Cofeemania for breakfasts, I come a lot here with my daughter. I find the newly opened Fresh café absolutely fantastic. It’s great to come here any time during the day. I go a lot to Solyanka and Latuk, as they are just across the road from my place. For dinner I recommend Ragu or Strelka (Strelka has an amazing summer terrace) or Isaak Corea’s restaurants such as Black Market and Upside Down Cake - that have the best desserts. Pushkin is also famous for its tasty sweet pastries. However, if I want freshly baked bread or chocolate croissants, I go to Volkonsky patisserie. I forgot to mention lovely Antinori restaurant, which has the best home-made truffle pasta.

SHOPPING

I try to keep up with the healthy lifestyle so I order everything from the new online vegetarian shop – Happy Vegan. There is also a cool place for organic cosmetics and eco-friendly home accessories  – Organic Shop on Michurenskiy prospect. Twin Shop has some original things for those with rich imagination. The best sportswear you can find in our NYM Yoga studio shop. We have our own brand – NYM Wear.

CULTURE

My favorite art-gallery is Pobeda, owned by Nina Gomiashvili. I come a lot here. I also recommend visiting the Impressionists’ section in Pushkinskiy Museum. The newly opened Garage in Gorky Park has many exciting exhibitions.

IN FOCUS

I truly believe that Moscow should be explored by feet. Old streets and corners breathe with past centuries, especially Pokrovka and Kitay-Gorod areas that bear the spirit of past generations. You can also find many old churches and enchanting buildings in Ostogenka and Prechistinka. Lujniki is also  great area for strolling  and riding bicycles and roller-skating. And of course, I advice you to pass by NYM Yoga and try Jivamukti yoga class.
