Noisy Oyster is a new seafood bistro in Shoreditch from the team behind Firebird. The space is designed by Harry Nuriev of Crosby Studios: minimal, considered, and very much its own thing. An aesthetic that sits somewhere between a fashion week installation and an actual building site. It should feel cold. Somehow it doesn't.
The menu focuses on British produce with a Mediterranean edge – freshly shucked oysters, whole fish from the grill, crab pasta, caviar toast, bright coastal plates built around clean, confident flavours.
Start, obviously, with the oysters. Carlingford rock oysters arrive in their glossy shells alongside a raspberry shallot vinegar that genuinely improves on the lemon-and-Tabasco formula the rest of London has been coasting on for years. The crudo trio is light; the monkfish skewers are quietly excellent; the crab orecchiette is the kind of dish that ends conversations in the best way.
To drink: a signature lineup of martinis, margaritas and Bloody Marys, plus a tight selection of low-intervention wines from small European producers. The mini martini is non-negotiable. Try the “Oyster” with gin and vermouth, or the “Agave” with mezcal.
