news: Fondazione Prada opened a new space in a former industrial zone in southern Milan that promises to become an important address for fans of contemporary art and fashion.

Fondazione Prada grew out of the gallery founded by Miuccia Prada and her husband, Patrizio Bertelli, in 1993. The union of fashion and art was so successful and interesting for its founders, that the fund began playing a larger and larger role in the life of the fashion house. Its goal is the creation of a common cultural context encompassing all that is beautiful and ultramodern, from fashion to cinema.

The Fund holds regular exhibitions in Milan and Venice, which it "conquered" in 2011 with the opening of a new exhibition space. Special projects have been shown in London, Seoul, and Paris. The Fund also has robust educational and research programs.

FYI: Admission is free. The Fund is closed between exhibitions and projects.
