Leyenda is a Latin-inspired restaurant and bar in Brooklyn by the people of the renowned Clover Club and mixologist Ivy Mix. Along with creative and classic cocktails, they do flights of mezcals, tequilas, and rums, as well as traditional and modern takes on Latin dishes from across Central and South American and the Caribbean.

Excellent cocktails, great vibe.

Quote: «Leyenda's open-air concept, with its brightly colored back bar, copper ceiling and backyard patio give the impression of a hip Latino expat with a Brooklyn twist».

We recommend: tequila – flamed shrimp arepa (white corn arepa topped with chipotle-lime shrimp & pineapple salsa), nopales (mexican cactus, tomato, red onion, oregano, cilantro, serrano chile, and lime vinaigrette), tostada de pulpo (fried corn tortillas topped with blanched octopus, pinto beans, romaine lettuce and avocado, with a garlic habanero), ceviche (scallops, red onion, mango, jicama, lime and cilantro in a coconut habanero dressing), panuchos (Fried corn tortillas topped with coconut-habanero shrimp, refried black beans and avocado), veggie and bacalao tacos, salted almond and chocolate dusted churros.

Cuisine: Latin-inspired / modern

Cocktails: Santo Buzo (bourbon, Jamaican rum, cashew butter, honey, allspice, vanilla, cinnamon, pineapple, lemon), Mellow Yellow (blanco tequila, fino sherry, yellow Chartreuse, yellow bell pepper, lime, pineapple), Tia  Mia (mezcal espadin, Jamaican rum, orange curacao, lime, orgeat).

Atmosphere: hip / cozy.

Crowd: Brooklyn residents, hipsters, creative types.
