The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) was one of the first museums to exhibit innovative, contemporary art on a large scale. Founded in 1929 with the support of the Rockefeller family, MoMA's first galleries were located inside an office building.

Construction on the current building began in 1939. Today, the museum's impressive collection attracts everyone from average tourists to art industry professionals looking to get their creative juices flowing, learn about new artists, and be inspired.
